HESA Gears Up for Elections: Deputy EC Calls for Peace and Participation
KNUST’s Health Sciences Students' Association (HESA) is set to
hold elections, with expectations high for a peaceful and credible process.
Known for its transparency, HESA’s electoral system, modeled after KNUST’s, has
a clean track record, with no history of disputes or legal challenges.
Deputy Electoral Commissioner, Master Antwi Macbeth Danso,
expressed confidence in the Commission’s preparations and predicted high voter
turnout. He urged all stakeholders to maintain peace before, during, and after
the polls.
“We expect to have a very peaceful and fair elections this
year,” he stated.
He also delivered messages to both candidates and voters. To
candidates, he said: “Lead with honesty and respect. Let your ideas speak
louder than rivalry.” To voters: “Your vote is your voice. Choose wisely and
participate actively.”
With polls approaching, the spotlight is on HESA to uphold its
legacy of credible student leadership.
