A Night of Talent and Legacy

The spotlight is on SMS as they have a fun-filled variety night as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the School of Medical Sciences.

The lights shone brightly on the stage as the talent show and variety night kicked off. The audience was buzzing with excitement, their eyes filled with anticipation performance after performance. But first, the red carpet. One word. Spectacular. It was a hit. The audience brought on their A-game, and they owned their looks. Each person exuded confidence and personality as they posed for the cameras and mingled on the red carpet.

The night featured variety of performances ranging from drama to dance to songs to comedy as the performer’s adrenaline rose and the crowd applauded and cheered on. The MCs for the show, Gyasiwaa and Neizer had just the right amount of vibe and the chemistry between them and the audience was palpable.

The opening act was lit, a soulful singer belted out the lyrics of one of Beyonce’s masterpiece, Halo. The voice soared, touching hearts and evoking emotions. The singer's passion and dedication shone through, and the audience was captivated, and they echoed along in harmony.

The crowd was emotional after the guitarist’s performance. His beautiful voice and the strings of his guitar was sensational; a real talent.

The energy of the crowd was unmatched as the part time pharmacist part time dancehall artist Patoa took to the stage with his signature style.

Right after Patoa’s exhilarating performance, Skygee mounted the stage. The crowd was just electrified and not a single person inside the hall could remain seated. Everyone went wild and jumped up, cheering like crazy. Skygee delivered a smooth rap that left  the crowd hyped.

It didn’t end there, a talented violinist who mesmerized the audience with a beautiful rendition of a classical piece. Her notes flowed effortlessly, transporting the crowd to a world of elegance and refinement

After hours of endless fun, the current MSA administration launched an initiative that will leave its mark on the association many years to come; the Anidasoc Bursary. Dr. Mrs. Vivian Painstil, a pediatrician launched the Bursary. She was supported by Dr. Painstil, her husband and Dr. Quaicoo who also shared inspiring words about balancing extracurricular activities and medical responsibilities.

At this point, the energy seemed to be going down but this was immediately compensated when the famous dance doctor, Dannybest surprised everyone with his impressive dance moves. His energy was contagious, even his colleague doctors could not hide the amazement on their faces. Everyone enjoyed the vibrant display.

I thought I have had enough for one night, but I was proved wrong. The comedy segment was the highlight of the evening, the comedian cracked jokes that left the audience in stitches. The humor was relatable, and the crowd laughed out loud forgetting all about their steeze. The comedian's wit and timing were impeccable, and the audience begged for more, unfortunately, time was far spent.

All too soon the show came to an end, the association president Master Nsafoah said a few words and acknowledged the dignitaries present and the course rep of the first-year class gave the vote of thanks.

The evening concluded with applause, inspiration, and new memories. The talent show showcased the creativity and passion of students, while the bursary launch highlighted the importance of supporting academic pursuits. the audience departed, feeling uplifted and inspired by the talent and generosity on display.
